CHELSEA & JEN SEBES
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
CHELSEA SEBES is an award winning, renown choreographer and dancer who resides just outside of Pittsburgh PA. Chelsea has over 20 years of extensive dance training and experience. Her evolution in dance began at the age of six, becoming a competition dancer at the age of 7. Chelsea also danced for Radio Disney in 2002. She was also 1 of 50 dancers chosen from across the country in 2007 by the Dance USA organization to travel to Bologna, Italy to represent the USA Dance Team. Chelsea trained for 11 years at a prestigious well known studio in Pittsburgh, and continued her dance education into college. Chelsea has trained in all genres of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Tap, Lyrical but her passion and love is Contemporary dance. Chelsea has a unique and creative ability to express emotions through movement. She has trained with top choreographers across the country. She is currently the managing partner and Artistic Director/Choreographer of Evolve Dance Complex in Cranberry Twp PA.
Chelsea has achieved a magnitude of accolades and awards for dance technique, performance, and choreography. She has been nominated numerous times for her choreography at the prestigious BTF Dance Awards and her choreography has won dancers BEST DANCER Titles and Top 1-10 on numerous occasions. Her group awards include Best Junior Group Performance WINNER in 2022.
In addition to running and maintaining her home studio, Chelsea also travels extensively doing choreography for many top studios and dancers across the country.
Her college programs include: Point Park University Pre-Professional Program, Ohio University Dance Program and the La Roche College Contemporary Ballet Program under the direction of Ms Maria Caruso of Bodiography, Pittsburgh.

BALLET MASTER
ALEXANDRE SILVA
Alexandre began studying ballet in 1991 through a cooperation of teachers from the Ballet National of Cuba. This Project was sponsored by (SESI Minas) an organization supported by industries of Brazil. Alexandre competed in the International Festival of Joinville:

2000 Gold Medalist –In this competition, received special recognition for the highest scores among all competitors for the entire event. 19 years of experience as a professional dancer; including 12 years as a soloist of Pittsburgh Ballet Theater (“P.B.T”). In this capacity, he performed numerous main roles including in the following productions: Swan Lake, Giselle, Corsair, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Ciderelle, Raimonda, Sleeping Beauty, La Sylphide, La Fille Mal Gardee, and others.
Alexandre has also had experience in dancing in numerous modern ballet productions including as follows: Sinfonietta, (Jiri Kylian) In the Night, The Concert, West Side Story (Jerome Robbins) In the Upper Room (Twyla Tharp) Sylvia, Allegro Brillante, Western Symphony (Balanchine), among many others.
Throughout his career in dance, he has enjoyed the opportunity not only in performing, but also in assisting his professional dance colleagues with enhancing their skills. In the process, he provided constructive assistance to his peers, without encroaching upon the roles of the ballet masers. He has created and taught innovative pas de deux master classes; incorporating techniques and tips that he has developed through his dance experience.
Alexandre serves as Evolve Dance Complex’s Ballet master.

BALLET
WILLIAM MOORE joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2013 and was promoted to soloist in 2018. He was born in Ipswich, England and received his training at the Angela Rose school of dance. He then joined the Royal ballet school from 2002-2009, where he performed and toured with The Royal Ballet company in many productions. He also worked and performed with Northern Ballet and English National Ballet. After graduating, William joined Estonian National Ballet from 2009-2012. William’s repertoire at PBT includes Birbanto in Le Corsaire; Riff in West Side Story Suite; the Beast in Beauty and the Beast; Tom in The Great Gatsby; Knave of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland; Hook in Peter Pan; William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated; Jirí Kylián’s Petit Mort and Sinfonietta; Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room and Nine Sinatra Songs; Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free; lead couple in George Balanchine’s Rubies; Peasant Pas de Deuz in Giselle; Pas de Trois in Swan Lake; and Cavalier, Nephew and Drosselmyer in The Nutcracker, among many others. William has been commissioned by PBT to choreograph several ballets: Four Marks, response and Weighted Affair. William has also choreographed for PBT school and in 2019 won the most Outstanding Choreographer award at YAGP.
BALLET
GABRIELLE THURLOW
A native of Buffalo, New York, Gabrielle Thurlow joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2007 and was promoted to soloist in 2014. She received her training from PBT School, where she participated in the Graduate Program, and Neglia Conservatory of Ballet in Buffalo. She also has studied at various summer programs, including School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in New York. Her featured roles with PBT have included a Bomb Squad dancer in Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, Kitri in PBT’s Don Quixote, Gamzatti in La Bayadère, Gulnare in Le Corsaire, Wendy and Tinker Bell in Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan, and Marie and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Terrence S. Orr’s The Nutcracker. Her repertoire also includes William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated; Jerome Robbins’ The Concert; Jirí Kylián’s Petite Mort and Sinfonietta; and George Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Serenade.
